Brigham City Temple Dedication

Today was the Brigham City Temple Dedication. It was at 9 am at the Stake Center.I hope you all remembered to get your green card from the bishop to get in. This is such a wonderfully inspiring and spiritual event to participate in. Post your comments and feelings so we can all be uplifted and those who were unable to attend might get a glimpse of what transpired today.

Fireside tonight

Fireside Tonight 7 pm at our church house. Everyone is invited.

Four of the most talented women in LDS music bring their remarkable voices together to create the new vocal group One Clear Voice. Eager to make a difference in the lives of women and men of all ages, they have filled their self-titled debut CD with powerful and uplifting songs of Optimism, Faith, Encouragement, Family, Forgiveness, Relationships, Friendship and Testimony—songs that truly speak to a woman’s heart; yet reach out to touch everyone. http://www.oneclearvoicemusic.com/music.html

Brigham City Temple Open House

How many of you have taken the opportunity to go to the Brigham City Temple Open House? If you haven't, make the time because it is such a wonderful experience and the last day to do so is September 15th. Tickets are not necessary but are encouraged. Go to https://templeopenhouse.lds.org/. It is nice to get tickets because it tells you where to park. If you have kids going with you, they might like the bus ride, my kids did. I loved that I could look into the mirrors and see into eternity with my children in my arms. If you have gone, leave a comment and let us know about your experience.

Literacy Night

Last nights activity was so great! So much great information was given like scripture chains and children's literacy. I feel like I have a new way of looking at those things that will benefit my studies and my children's studies! Such a great way to get a power boost.I hope everyone was able to find a new book to exchange or just donate some that were not being used any more and the refreshments were, well, Refreshing--fruits and veggies and of course the dips to go along--YUMMY! I hope everyone had a good time visiting too. I love when we have low key events where we can learn together and socialize a bit. Thanks everyone for coming.
It's ward party time again!!
Saturday September 8th at 6 pm
Ward party sponsored by the Relief Society.

It is an ALTERNATIVE cooking contest. We encourage you to step out of your ordinary cooking ways (i.e: kitchen stove, microwave and oven) and experiment with other ways of cooking (i.e: grill, crockpot, solar oven, dutchoven, etc.) It doesn't matter how you cook it as long as it was not cooked in your kitchen. There will be a contest for most popular dish. Bring your friends and neighbors to the church for a night of great food and great fun!
A BIG thank you goes to Phillip & Marissa Harris and Daniel & Shelby Barlow for putting this activity together!!
