Stake RS Social with Carole Mikita
I hope you were able to come to the Stake RS Social to listen and be uplifted by Carole Mikita. She is such an inspiring woman. She has been all over the world interviewing members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and every interview showed the tremendous spirit and growth of the church outside our own bubble in Utah. There were so many touching stories of members around the world and how the spirit is what drives the church so strongly in their personal lives, within their families, and within their own communities.
She shared one story about traveling to Spain on assignment. She met a man, whose wife was in the Tabernacle Choir, at the construction site of the Madrid Spain Temple. She noticed this man overcome with emotion. She new there had to be a story to go along with it. She approached this man and asked him his story. He shared with her that he had come to Spain on his mission 25+ years ago. He stated that he did not baptize a single person his entire time serving. He felt that his mission was a failure. While his wife was practicing with the choir, this man took the opportunity to look up some of the people he taught back then and found that the children of those he taught are now members of the church and are raising their families in the Gospel.
Sister Mikita stated that sometimes we don't know when we plant seeds. We often take for granted that by small and simple things-Great things come to pass.
There were so many other inspiring stories. If you would like, please comment with your favorite story and maybe we can share the message that Sister Mikita shared with us.

I am sorry it has been a few weeks since I last posted. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter on March 31st. Were you able to truly remember the Savior and His Atonement? Also, General Conference was last week. I hope you were able to be spiritually fed and uplifted. Let's start a discussion! What was your favorite talk and why. Post a comment to this post. It would be great to hear from you and possibly learn something others may not have heard or felt.
